Physical properties
Colorless transparent liquid with fruity aromas. Volatile, miscible with most organic solvents such as alcohols, ketones, and ethers. Dissolved 2.9% by weight in water at 20°C.
Chemical properties
Flammable, its vapor and air can form an explosive mixture. In the event of fire, high heat can cause a combustion explosion; strong reactions with oxidants can occur. Its vapor is heavier than air, and it can spread far to a relatively low place. In the event of an open flame, it will lead back to fire. Combustion (decomposition) products: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and water.
